Born in Hackensack, New Jersey, and raised in the Bay Area, I have always been artistic. Even as a child I designed paper doll dresses in coordinating colors and sewed outfits for my Barbies. Despite my abilities, I was unaware that I could use my artistic skills professionally. After marriage, two children and a divorce, I decided to return to college. While taking drawing and painting courses, I became reacquainted with my passion for art; and with the encouragement of my instructors, I’ve been pursuing my artistic passion ever since. The images and colors of my paintings convey life experience; the joy, pain and perseverance necessary to make something beautiful. My desire is that my artistic and personal journey convey my passion, and provide hope and encouragement for many generations to come, understanding that no matter where you were or where you are, there’s opportunity for change, growth and improvement.
